Barbecue (BBQ) Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup of J & Jay’s Cannabuter

  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper

  • 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes (about 1¾ cups)

  • 1/4 cup vinegar

  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt the J & Jay’s cannabutter in a saucepan over medium heat, add onions and cook until caramelized/tender.

  2. Add garlic, chili powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Saute the mix for an additional minute.

  3. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.

  4. Pour the mix into a food processor and run until uniform and smooth.

  5. Serve the BBQ sauce with your favourite meals.

TIPS

  • Add more infused cannabuter or substitute regular butter depending on desired dosages.

  • Can store in a refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container.
