Tomato Basil Bruschetta

Enjoy tomato basil bruschetta, a simple and delightful appetizer balancing juicy and fragrant elements nestled on a toasted bread

INGREDIENTS

• 4 ripe tomatoes

• 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

• 3 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

• 1/4 cup infused cannabis olive oil

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 baguette, sliced

• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash and dice the tomatoes into small pieces. Place the diced tomatoes in a bowl and sprinkle with a little salt. Let them sit for about 10 minutes, then drain any excess liquid.

  2. In the bowl with the tomatoes, add the minced garlic, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, and infused cannabis olive oil. Mix well to combine, adding salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices before placing the slices on a baking sheet and toasting them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

  4. Spoon the tomato mixture onto each toasted baguette slice. Optionally, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  5. Arrange the infused tomato basil bruschetta on a serving platter and enjoy immediately.

TIPS

• Roma or plum tomatoes work best for the bruschetta

• Try assorted breads to have a different texture and flavour to your infused Tomato Basil Bruschetta
